The challenges that Kosovo workers face are enormous : the big extend of informality, necessity to amend the legislation to establish a protection scheme from unemployment ( about 30% of workers in Kosovo do not have any rights, no labor contracts), labor law should be assessed in regards to its impact to various social categories as lower number of women workers are being employed as result of legal provisions on maternity leave; work on employment statistics and the electronic data management; empowering the labor inspectorate for the implementation of law, increasing the minimum wage, fighting all kind of forms of discrimination, amend the labor law to eliminate discrimination at the work place.

Nevertheless, during the seminar it was evident that BSPK has big potential as concerns the young trade unionists and the young population that can be attracted in unions, and young women in particular.
