PERC pre-ILC Belgrade meeting

The PERC, with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organised a consultative meeting for preparation of the International Labour Conference. The meeting took place in Belgrade.

The participants from different parts of Europe discussed ITUC human and trade union rights agenda, different agenda items of the coming conference and debated collective bargaining and representation for workers in non-standard employment relations.

Furthermore, the meeting highlighted serious problems with fundamental workers’ rights in the region and prioritise several cases for building a list of countries to be discussed at the ILC Committee on Application of Standards, including Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Turkey. The situation of workers rights in Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Greece, Kyrgyzstan and several others were also considered.
