Strengthening working women’s Capacities and networking in Western Balkans: training materials

The project Strengthening working women’s Capacities and networking in Western Balkans is a project co financed by the European Commission and realized with the cooperation of ISCOS CISL (Italy) with PERC ITUC and trade union organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro.

The project, two years long, is already at is second year and have seen the preparation of different materials during last year. In particular, five local level training seminars have taken place with the objective to training active members from the women committee to different topics concerning the strengthening of the trade union member in the protection of women workers. The three days training seminars have seen the participation of about 50 people and different materials were provided to them. The training was divided in three main objectives such as introduction of European Directives concerning women workers and conciliation with working life, after the participants have been active involved in the preparation of national action plans and they have started also to learn basic technique of communication in campaign activities. In addition to the people trained, we would like to disseminate the material to all the people interested in strengthen women workers rights and the role of women within the trade union organizations.
