Attacks to CGIL headquarters in Rome

CGIL headquarters in Rome have been attacked and devastated on Saturday the 9th of October, during a no green-pass demonstration. The group of demonstrators, mainly from the far right, after entering the building and vandalizing the entrance, remained on the steps of the union building until police arrived.

This is a vile fascist attack, an attack to democracy and to the whole labour movement.

ETUC and ITUC, as many other other Unions, expressed their solidarity and support to our Italian colleagues and are shocked to see attacks targeted at CGIL.

Message sent by ETUC General Secretary Luca Visentini to CGIL General Secretary Maurizio Landini
