ITUC Organising Academy: the second meeting for PERC

The second meeting on organising was organised by the PERC for its Russian speaking affiliates. The meeting took place in Kishinev, 3-6 September 2013. Some twenty trade unionists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.

During 3 days the participants discussed the environment for trade union organising and recruitment activities, relevance of the existing trade union structures for building new organising initiatives, potential campaigns and actions - on the ground, and with the communities and civil society organisations.

The participants defined possible areas of trade union intervention to pilot new organising actions in NIS countries, which could be integrated in the ITUC work to prepare its World Congress in May 2014.
