Miners Block the Road with Poland

The miners of State Enterprise (SE) “Lvivvugillya” today in the morning blocked one of the major roads, requesting reimbursement of their salary arrears.
More than 300 miners came to the main road between Lviv and Rava Ruska border crossing point with Poland having blocked the traffic near the village of Smerekiv.

“Miners of the Independent Trade Union of Coal Miners of Ukraine (NPGU) are expecting constructive measures from the country authorities to ensure stable working conditions for miners in all Ukrainian oblasts”, said Mykhailo Volynets, the Head of the NPGU. He also mentioned that the salary debts in front of miners of SE “Lvivvugillya” make up 58mln UAH and the miners have only received 46% of their salaries for November-December 2015.
