At the meeting the participants discussed the priority cases to be proposed to the Workers’ group as potential cases for Committee on Application of Standards consideration, were introduced to the ITUC ILO agenda, in terms of standards setting priorities and promotion of recently adopted standards (C 189 on Domestic Workers and Re. 200 on HIV/AIDS and the world of work).
The participants were also introduced to the recently released TUAC guide on the revised OECD guidelines on MNEs and also to the opportunities to promote workers rights in private sector through liaising with loan lending wing of the World Bank - the International Financial Corporation.
The participants also discussed the situation of arrested KESK activists and adopted the correspondent statement.
